To claim ones right on property recieved via inheritance

19-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
My grand mother passed away recently leaving behind 2 sons and 2 daughters. The property which was owned by my grand mother has now been rented by her sons without the consent of her daughters. Can the daughters object to this and send a notice to the societies of the flats/shops that their mother owned stating that the property should not be rented,sold or transferred in the future without the consent of the daughters as they are now co-owners via inheritance?

This is my response to you:
1. Yes they can send a notice;
2. They can stake a claim;
3. Since all the legal heirs have equal share in the property;
4. The laws of Hindu Succession Act come into play;
5. Consult a local lawyer with complete facts and then take legal steps.
