Selling to son without consideration

Instead of gift deed, can father rigister sale deed to son without consideration, paying only stamp duty?
Reason 90 year father overseas unable travel to India.
Sale deed possible by power of attorney who is in India

some consideration be paid...then the same can be returned, other options are gift deed which has less stamp duty comparitivly and its a proper title document,gift deed of the donor cannot be challenged at any cost.
