self acquired property definition

we are two brothers my father left certain bank deposits and fixed deposits in a will to my mother. She utilized them partly during her lifetime and the rest she willed to my brother. can i claim a share of those deposits on the ground that they were not the self acquired property of my mother since they were willed to her by my father.

you want to know defenation of self acquired property . self acquired are the self made. you also stated that what you have a right in her father property and fixed deposit etc . yes you have the right in above said property .
