Rights of son in mother's ancestral property

Hi,after the death of my mothers parents her uncle s not giving her the half deserving share in the village property i.e a ancestral 100yr old house and some plots.As she dont have any brothers her uncle s not giving her the rightful share,though the agriculture land belonging to her father has been transfered to her name.Whats the best way to get her right in property and how much time and chance of success in getting the legal share of my mother as she s a Hindu lady?
