Rights of daughter on her mother's house

Dear Sir,
My wife in only one daughter and her father expired and her mother got married to another person, that person has 3 kids. My mother in law got house from second husband as gift.
My question is whether my wife as legal rights on her mother's property, please let me know sir.

Since your mother in law got the property from her second husband through Gift, your wife cannot claim the property as a matter of right. However your mother in law can gift the property (whole or portion thereof) to your wife, or include your wife in her Will for the time being.
