Removal of name from the deed but cant located overseas

A friend and his wife are in the middle of a divorce and currently stay in Australia as citizens. They have together invested in a property in Delhi and now want to remove wife's name from the deed. For obvious reasons, wife will be not be able to travel along with him. Kindly suggest what we can do from here so that no travel is involved. The property is also not yet registered.

Wife of your friend can give power of attorney in favor of your friend and she need not travel but the power of attorney needs to be attested by the embassy in Australia.
Then your friend can do the necessary formalities regarding the transfer .
