Refusal to pay amount which was collected by selling father's property

I am hindu married woman..married for last 7 months only..place where i stay is a 2bhk flat loaned n bought by my husband's elder brother..half amount was loaned and half was paid by my father in law by selling their old two 1bhk flats..ow after marriage father in law says to give elder brother us half amount of that paid half..so that we could buy a new flat.. elder brother's wife refuses to pay it now says will pay it later in future anytime..even they dont want to stay with us..we are both subject to be left without a place to stay..please suggest necessary...
