query about the Hindu succession act

31-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
I had a small query about the Hindu succession act. If a grandfather was a Hindu having 5 children(2 sons and 3 daughters), was the owner of a property(self-acquired) and died before 9 Sep 2005. So, do the 3 daughters have a right to the property? After doing a lot of research, I found that they do not have the right, but one close lawyer said that there have been amendments recently and the daughters will also have the right to it. Is it true?
