Property registering jointly in parents and single daughter- Muslim
21-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
Planning to go for a joint registration among parents and only daughter (married) wit no siblings. Wanting to know if one or both parents expire due to old age as they are elderly, can the daughter get the property into her name automatically or further legal implications be there? Do advise other options we have to safeguard the inherentence to daughter.
Since property is getting registered in joint names of parents and daughter, each of them will have 1/3rd share in the property. In case of death of one parent, that parents share will get divided equally between the other parent and the daughter. If both parents die then the daughter will have complete right on the property.
