Property cheat by a property dealer..shown anther plot

We were shown a plot by property dealer.. agreement was done for buying it...later on found that the plot he showed to us belonged to some another person..ow the seller whom we gave the money is saying that he has invested money in some another deal so can't return money... property dealer admitted his mistake but not ready to pay us compensation of 8 lakhs...what we should do now...please guide

If agreement clearly mentions about the particular Khasra numbers of plot, which the agent was trying to sell you and the same plot belongs to some other person.
Then the property dealer could be prosecuted u/s 420 and u/s 406 of IPC for defrauding you.
In this regard, You need to write a complaint to SHO ACP DCP. Further proceedings will be done as per crpc.
Meanwhile , You may take a stay on the plot in question from the civil court to avoid it getting sold to another person by the current owner.
You need documentary proofs to prove the offence u/s 420.
