Non retractable pvc awning in balcony pune CHS

I have a flat in pune, and wish to install non-folding (non-retractable) PVC awning on my balcony. Is it permissible as per pune laws? The society denies the permission and also said that only folding type can be installed. I don't want the retractable type.
Well I have to look at the agreement for sale and look at the relevant clauses before I give you an informed decision. Please let me know why the society is not permitting the same. Further I'll have to understand why you need the retractable type. do contact me to further resolve this
