15-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
I have an ancestral house built in 1976 of mud bricks on the edge od a property with an acess of 1.5 mts to my walls. further there is a no mans land of 1.7 meter left as an excess by the other landlord when he sold his property to a new owner. Now the new owner wants a road for his property from my property and very close to my house. What should I do? even the panchayat is acting on his behest. what are my rights to jkeep my house safe from collapsing due to the heavy traffic. What should the panchayat do to help me in protecting my rights. How do I go about. Please help

Both civil and criminal remedies are available to you now. You can make a complaint to the concerned S.D.M. regarding the illegality of the construction and can request him to stall the process by invoking his discretion. You can also approach the concerned civil court requesting the stay on the same.
