Minor files a case to claim share in ancestral property through mother

A Minor has filed a case through his mother as a next friend for claiming in the ancestral property. The property is in the name of Minor's Great Grandfather. Great Grandfather of the Minor Passed Away in 1995. On which ground can the minor claim into the Property...??? It is very important please answer this....
Monitor has right to share of his great grand father independent of rights of his father's and other legal hair.He can get his right protected, secured through his mother who is his natural guardian.Hope I have answered your question.
