Legal share of Married daughters
14-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
My father Mr Umesh has inherited an ancestoral property from his father Mr Vinayak.
My father has 3 Sisters, they are married before 1989 as the act 1990 act states.
Mr Vinayak died in 1984 and the Hindu succession ammendment was done in 2005. Do the sisters have any claim to the property.
If so What is the contribution they should get.
We are Hindu by religion.
Your father's sister cannot claim equal share in father's property compare to brother.Because after Vinayk's death partition opened in 1984.Therefore sisters cannot claim according to amended Hindu succession Act 2005.
