Installing CCTV facing road to cover my entrance
29-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi,
I installed CCTV in my premise that covers the entrance of my place. However, that cover some part of the road. Additionally, we are also installing one cctv that is facing the road. It is an apartment on the ground floor and the cameras do not capture any private place or even commonplace of the apartment. Is it legal?
Dear Client ,
As per the details provided by you , my suggestion would be that unless and until you infringe any body's privacy or its property its purely lawful to install CCTV and moreover its obvious that your camera if installed on the ground floor appertaining to the public road ill capture some part of the public road but that should be avoided if it captures anybody private property of privacy
