Inherited Property was given for development. After taking possession

Do we have to get it registered on our names?. If so whose responsibility is this?. Developer’s or ours?. Thank you and best regards

There is no legal obligation on one or the other The decision has more to do with the commercial understanding between the parties. Typical market practice is that the buyer pays.
Normally in Tamilnadu need to pay sum of 7 ( stamp charge +4 (Service Tax)= Total 11% of Guideline value of the property cost
