how to make a gift deed the procedure
26-May-2023 (In Property Law)
Sir, my father was the co-owner of a two storied house with my uncle (undivided property). Recently he gifted me his share through a gift deed duly regisered. It is a property of .034 acres in which a two storied house of 680 Sqft. in each floor. The property is not partitioned between my father and uncle. Now , in the gift deed the area of land is shown as .017 acres (the share of my father )which is the half of the total area but the entire house shown as the property gifted to me. It should be 50% Of the total carpet area of the house. My question is can this error be corrected and if so how ? regards,
No. There is no process for correction of your title deed as it became already registered. But your father can make a registered declaration (deed) where he shall declare about the corrections of your present title deed of gift. The deed of declaration shall became the part of your title deed.
Thanks.
Thanks.
