How to claim rights in ancestral property

yes mam, mam im facing some family issues,belongs from hindu community like i married 5 years ago just after one month of marriage my in laws seperated me and my husband..only on this reason that one night i forgot to return their's jewellery what they gifted me on day of marriage.next morning they all asked me for jewellery n all items like all sarees,mangalsutras etc n start fighting on dis issue that i intentionally forgot to return all things..i gave them all things..n left that house because my husband wants so.. now im staying with my husband and 4 year old son in bhiwadi n my in laws house is in delhi.now we want our share in property which is on my daadi saas' name.what we can do in this matter????please help..and in meanwhile they didnot help us from a single penny.

First of all all the jewelry items and gifts gifted to the bride on marriage are called stridhan and no one can in any case take them from you. Secondly i need some information that whether your in-laws had disowned your son or not to suggest how can you claim in ancestral property. One more thing matrimonial home is the right of women.
