Housing society took the money for site registration and cheated.

On the year 1985 my father payed about 1.5 lakhs money for the site registration in vyalikaval housing society. They gave us the allotment letter but never registered anything till date.when i ask them for my money back they are delaying it.please tell me which is the best way to get the money back with interest and how much is maximum i can get out of it.

1. If any contract was been made then you can file specific performance suit with the court.

2. As you mentioned that you have allotment letter, You may issue legal notice to the society to get the site itself registered on your father name instead of getting your money back with interest.

3. Talk to an advocate with the relevant documents.
