Grandmother being the legal heir of deceased first son

My grand mother has 2 sons nd 3 daughters .she has given away her self acquired property (200 sq yards plot) to her sons in the name of gift deed. They told her after construction of their respective buildings dey wud give her two portions nd also 2 laks fixed deposit on her. Recently my grand father had also died. Now Both sons have denied her. At present my grandmoder is staying with her younger daughter. A year back her first son also died. Does my grand mother can become legal heir of her deceased first son? He has not written any will.the situation of her second son is so bad dat he is running lot into debts .her deceased first son gets rents of almost 15000 RS.plz help (Hindu religion)
