False accusations stating woman my mother is always fighting

Recently in our society meeting false accusations were made by Chief Promoter (of our newly constructed building) that my mother is always fighting like with the sweeper for cleanliness or with his wife as not listening. He's trying to frame my mother and create a wrong image to our new society members (who are not currently residing in the building )that she's not pleasant women. Can I address him that he cannot pin point to someone without having any knowledge and he can't target her as so called fighting like false statement.
