Do Daughters have right in ancestral property (Grand Fathers property)

Hi, I wanted to know whether daughters have share in ancestral property , which was transferred to my father through my grandfather
Yes, post 2005 amendment to the Hindu Succession Act, it has been laid down by court that daughters are as much a class 1 legal heir in the father's property as a son so after the death of the father, the daughter would inherit in succession a portion which is equivalent to other class 1 legal heirs.
