Discrepancy in patta measurement

28-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
I own a 1200 square feet land in Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu. The problem is in patta issued by the government. i.e.., the width of the land mentioned in the document and patta varies so there is a problem arise with my neighborhood. My land: The document says 25 feet width The patta says 22 feet width Neighbor land (left side of my land) Their document says 22 feet width Their patta says 25 feet width They somehow got the patta surveyed wrongly, now they are saying that 3 feet land belongs to them. Is there any option to make corrections in both the patta? Thanks in advance

You can apply to the Tahsildar office of your jurisdiction for a correction. You may also be able to get approval based on existing documents, if you submit a plan that discloses the site measurements.
