Daughter right in father intestate property
23-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
Father died intestate 4 years ago leaving behind a house property. Immediately khatha was made in mothers name signed by sons/daughters to facilitate house tax payment. Mother is paying
house tax since then. She has given that house for rent and enjoying rent benefit alone
Now one daughter is in need of money and wants to claim her share in property. But mother has denied it and said it is in her name and it is for her son only. Daughter, in her knowledge, has not signed any other paper related to property other than for katha transfer 4 years back. She has not visited any sub-register office for signing any paper related to this property. Please inform where the daughter making claim stand in the eyes of law. If eligible, Can she demand her share immediately (as the mother is using all tactics and is interested in delaying the process indefinitely.)
