Couldn't register property due to stay order how to get money back

I have given 20% of sale value as an advance amount for a property & put a agreement for 1 year.Then court has been issued a statement order due to that property couldn't be registered. 6 months passed by. How can I get the advance back now. Is it possible to put the case against property seller & get that advance back?

Indeed, the case can be put up against the seller. He is bound to return the amount. A civil and criminal case can be filed against the matter in appropriate forum. to begin with you need to send a legal notice to him asking for refund of money
