condonation of delay under section 251 of Maharashtra Land revenue

What is condonation of delay under section 251 of the Maharashtra Land revenue Code, 1966. I have an ancestral property. my brothers sold partial property in 2007 and i realised the same in nov 2017 and i have filed a case in Feb 2018 in SDO office bandra. now the case is closed and i have been told that there is a condonation of delay and hence the court will pass an order in one month's time. I am unable to understand this.

This is my response to you: 1. The period for the filing the case is 12 years in respect to property matters; 2. It looks like you are within the period of limitation; 3. If you are outside the period of limitation period that is why an application for condonation of delay has been filed; 4. The hearing and order will be given on the next date; 5. If the delay is not condoned (pardoned) then your case is dismissed; 6. If it it condoned then you can proceed with the arguments and submissions.

The officer or State Government to which the appeal is made or application is submitted can admit the appeal or review after the prescribed period if the appellant or applicant has satisfied the officer that he or she had a sufficient reason for not...
