Complaint against builder for delayed possession.

My builder delayed by 8 months in giving possession. I ended up paying my bank loan. I am struggling to manage this expenditure.
1. Issue legal notice for the repay.
2. Even after legal notice received by the builder, still if you do not receive the money then approach consumer court to file recovery suit against the builder.
