Can Son claim higher share in Fathers Property in case of no will

11-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
Dear Sir's, I was co-applicant in my father's housing loan & property registered only in my father's name (1998), my parents passed away after (2005) the loan was cleared, all payments towards the loan went only through my fathers cheques. My father did not write any will. Now 2 of my sister's want equal share in the property. Will I be eligible for a higher share in the property as I was the co-applicant in my father's housing loan. Is it a point good enough to claim a higher share in the property.

No, you can't because if there is no will property gets divided equally among all legal heirs present and alive as per hindu succession act. Irrespective of the fact that you have been a co applicant in fathers housing loan.
