Can My Grandfather's daughters claim share in My Grandfather's Proper

16-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
My grandfather had 1 acre of agricultural land. I don't know whether it was Ancestral property. But I know that my grandfather gets this land from his father but registered in my grandfather's name. (Please tell me whether it is ancestral property or self owned property) My Grandfather expired before year of 1988 leaving behind 2 son (My Father & My Uncle) and 2 daughter. My Grandfather's 2 Daughters are married between 1994 - 2000 (don't know the exact year) My Uncle expired in 2003 leaving 1 son My Father expired in 2004 leaving 1 son (Me) & 1 daughter Now Me & my uncle's son are planning to partition the property into two share. But my grandfather's 2 daughters are asking for share. By the way, I'm from Tamilnadu. According to hindu succession (tamil nadu amendment) act - 1989, are Grandfather's 2 daughters eligible? I want to know this because my grandfather is expired before the amendment is passed.

The Hindu Succession Act, 1956, was amended in 2005 to give daughters an equal share in parental property. ... If the father passes away without a will, she has the same rights as the son in both ancestral and self-acquired property
