Can legal action be taken association changes the maintenance share

Hi Team, I am living in an aparmnet with 40 flats where all the flats are of not same size. Flat sizes are 1250(10 flats),1640(15 flats),1740(5 flats),1830(5 flats),1860(5 flats)(in SFT). My flat size is 1250 SFT. Earleri we used to pay maintenace based of SFT basis however few peopele are now asking to share maintenance equally irrespective of flat size. Since 1250 SFT flats are only 10 out 40,we are not getting majority to support in meeting also.This is really burden to us. I have taken small size flat considering many factors like low maintenace,low cost and fits in my budget also. What options do we(small size flat owners) have if association is going to collect equal share without considering flat size. Can i go legaly. Please advice.
