Can i get my share if father is selling ancestral land

18-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
My father purchased some land from money acquired from sale of ancestral land. As I was staying away at time of purchase he purchased it with he himself and my younger brother as owners. Now my brother wants to sell it. Father agrees. But what will be my share. Can I bring about court case to stop sale. What should I do?

Dear Querist, You can file a suit for share in the property. But primarily you will have to demonstrate by way of evidence/proof that the money invested in the property is from sale of ancestral property and you were deprived of your share in ancestral property.
