Can I ask my own lawyer to question me in the witness box?
07-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
In the property dispute case that I have filed against my cousin, his lawyer has questioned me in the witness box. However I wish to clarify some points that his lawyer has questioned me about, especially some yes/no answers which are grossly misleading if not taken in context. Can I request my own lawyer to question me in the witness box after my cousin's lawyer is done with his examination to that I can clarify some points to the court for the record?
This is my response tp you:
1. That is called examination in chief;
2. Speak upto your lawyer regarding same and narrate your counter reply;
3. Or file a written reply;
4. Consult a local lawyer and take steps .
