Can anyone claim parents/brother's property

15-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi, I left my hometown at the age of 20 and done college and own marriage by taking loan and self earnings and gave more than Rs. 10 lacs to my family. My brother and his family staying with my parents in my hometown and my brother is running family business along with my father. I have following queries: 1. When my parents will be no more, what I will do, if my brother will not leave my parent's house? Will he be legally correct to live in that house.( I don't want to live in my parent's house , need my shares only) 2. If my brother buy any properties on his name, can I claim my share in that property? Because source of income is my family business and he/my father did not discharge their responsibilities (like education/marriage) for me?

Good morning.. Firstly you have to be sure that on whose name the property is registered, if it is registerd on your father's name then you and your brother along with your mother will have equal rights on the property. But if your father have made the will then the property will be distributed accordingly.

If your brother is purchasing any property in his name, then you cannot claim anything from him.
