Buy flat jointly with minor child

I request you to please advice - 1) Is it possible to buy flat and get it registered jointly by mother and minor daughter? 2) If yes, is it advisable to do so? Any future legal complications while selling etc?

yes. Minor name can be mentioned in the Registered Sale Deed as Co buyer but minor, bieing her minority, shouled be repreasented by her next friend/ guardian in the said sale transaction and next friend/ guardian name should be reflected in the said sale deed along with minor name.

Daughter name
(Details)
being minor reprasented by next friend/ guardian
(Mother name)"

Yes. You can. But the minor will acquire her part of abulte right over the proeprty when once she attain the age of mejority. Till to that date "next friend/ guardian" symbolically treated as administrator of the said right over the proeprty.

The Act stipulates that you may only purchase property on behalf of a minor if you are their guardian or signatory authority. Section 11 of the Act states that a person can only purchase property in their own name after they turn 18 years old.
