Advice in share in right in the grandmother's property

Dear Sir/Mam, My Grandmother has two sons.One son is dead and one is alive.I am the son of the deceased one and my mother is alive.Now,,Grandmother had a land on her name of 03 katthha in saharsa,Bihar.She sold it when she was alive in 2008.and promised us to give our share.But she died accidently in 2010 and my uncle denied giving any share afterwards.Does my mother has a right on that land.Please Guide us if we can claim our right and how.

Yes, u can. Property under the name of a women is treated as stridhan and she has exclusive right and possession over the same. But in ur case there is some hitch. If the property has already been sold and third party right accrued on it , then u can do nothing. Therefore , it is better for u to meet me with relevant facts.
