99 years leave expired what is time limit to renew

Our Society is built on mumbai collecters land on 99 years lease which has expired what is the Government stand on renewing the lease and what is time limit to renew the lease further out society has 13 members of which 8 members are ready to pay the premium and 5 members are in financial difficulties and cannot pay what is our recourse in law to save our property
This is my response to you:
1. The society members must confirm if the seller has obtained a transfer memorandum from the local development authority;
2. They society can renew the lease;
3. So if it is Mumbai then approach the office of the MMRDA;
4. Consult a local lawyer and go ahead with the legal process of transfer of property.
