subject: Requesting an appealing time limit motor vehicles act 1988

12-Feb-2023 (In Motor Accident Law)
My father died on the road accident, the case has been filled in section 140, 142 and 166 in motor accident act 1988, the court judgement came last year June in our family favour regarding the insurance company need to pay compensation of 32 lakh with interest to our family. After the court judgement, my advocate asked me to wait because its the large sum money, the insurance company takes time to pay it. Its been 8 months, now my advocate said that the insurance company has a motive to appeal against the court order. our family has no other income, we are waiting for the amount for a long time. Would it be possible the insurance company can appeal against court order even after 8 months? also please let me know your suggestions. Thank you very much

yes that insurance company can file appeal even after 8 months.. you have to check and verify the grounds on which the insurance company is filling the appeal and you should file the counter for that said appeal.. if they are not filling appeal yet you can file executive petition to pay the compensation instantly. right now you can file an executive petition in the same court in which the compensation was ordered and you can claim for immediate deposit of said amount for your basic necessity..
