Motorbike sold - but RC not transferred
29-Jul-2023 (In Motor Accident Law)
My father sold a motorbike about 3 years ago to our driver without any sale deed. The driver promised to get it registered in his name. The driver has been out of contact for over 2 years now. My father got a summon for a traffic violation by someone whom the bike might have been sold to by the driver and had to go pay the fine.
What is the best way to remove my father from the registration so no other offense via that motorbike in future is tied to my father.
I have perused your Query and would like to advise you to file an intallah peshbandi with the concerned SHO, DCP of the area. Do also write a letter to the RTO. Would also advise you to give a public notice to this effect in the newspaper aswell
