Hit by a Tourist car and had fracture on foot

Dear Lawyer
I am Ramkumar Srinivasan from Chembur,Mumbai, I met with accident on 30th March 2019 with a Car. It was a tourist car. It was hit on my right leg and had a minimal fracture on my foot. The surgery is over now i am in rest. I cannot able to do proper walk now. The car number was noted and FIR has been put on nearest police station. One man has come from Motor accident tribunal and had collected the medical history documents from me. He told me one lawyer will be appointed for you by Government. Can you tell me what will be further proceedings of my case and when can i get the compensation (approximate time) ?
