Haryana CM assures HRERA authority to be functional from November 1
October 12, 2017The Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar proclaimed that the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority members would be appointed by October 31 and the authority will be functional by November 1. The proclamation was done while the CM Khattar was hearing grievances at the first Janta Darbar held in Gurgaon at John Hall in Civil Lines.
The CM assured the aggrieved homebuyers, who had come to lodge complaints against the builders in different regions of Gurgaon, that their complaints would be addressed in a procedural manner by the HRERA authority. “The Haryana govt. will also ensure that the HRERA authority becomes functional from 1 November and it addresses complaints against builders. Appropriate action will be taken under HRERA, as the act is meant to streamline the real estate sector. One can file a complaint even if the developer is not registered under RERA,” he added.
CM Khattar also proclaimed for setting up of a new commission that will address and resolve all grievances of cooperative group housing societies, while hearing grievances raised by members of Sunehara-Apna Ghar cooperative society. “There are total 25 cooperative societies in Gurgaon and majority of these have grievances related to irregularities and this commission would resolve them.”
While hearing the grievances regarding poor condition of Dr. BR Ambedkar park located in ward 13 of Farukhnagar, Khattar imposed a fine of Rs.1,000 every month on the officer responsible for this delay.
Khattar also directed that no new tube-wells will be constructed in dark zone, while hearing a plea to dig new borewell in Bhora Kala.
Pointing towards the reconstruction of gates in Sushant Lok, the CM asked the district administration to take instant action to resolve the complaints of residents. He also said that Sushant Lok 1 and 2 would soon come under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation Gurgaon. “Any residential area or colony can be taken up by the municipal corporation if more than 50% of residents request for it,” he added.
Chief Minister Khattar also instructed the police to lodge FIRs adequately, as the number of FIR lodged did not matter. The CM also suspended a police officer who failed to take justified action after a complainant alleged that the officer was threatening him.
The Haryana CM asked the city police to register FIR and conduct probe in a systematic manner, and instructed the police to discharge its functions properly with due caution and care.
