Who will keep original rental deed

Please,let me know who will keep original copy of rental agreement.Landlord or Tenant? and i have made 11 months agreement with tenant is it mandatory to get it registered
For 11 months registration is not mandatory. Keeping an original copy is understanding between parties, so there is no stipulation in law in that regard
