Society eviction based on moral/ethical grounds

26-Sep-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I am a tenant in a gated society from last 3 years. Due to covid pandemic, my boyfriend is staying with me for last 3-4 months and currently as he was in an accident and needs support to help recover. The society has objected to that and asked me to evict. My other flatmates and owner is okay with that and had no objections. But the society is stating ethical grounds and extra usage of resources as a reason to evict us. Is there anything we can do. We pay the rent to owner and maintenance as per area of flat to society. This is in Hyderabad, India. We have had no other issues against us from owner or society in last 3 years.

As a tenant you should obey the general rules. you should not create any nueance in the house and surroundings more particularly not make any disturbance to the locals. The locals object you for the reasons best known to you. If you not satisfied with your neighbors (i.e., not cooperating you in keeping your boy friend in your flat), then how far you can tolerate their harassment. Even if your house owner has no objection for your acts, the society can't digest and one should respect the public theme. Better to vacate that premises and choose a better location.
