Seeking time from landlord as unable to pay rent for the last 45 days
01-Mar-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Sir,
I am from Kolkata. I have an 11-month agreement which ends on March 15, 2020. The landlord has told me that he will extend my agreement if the rent is on time. However, my rent is clear till January 15, 2020, after which I have failed to make the payment due to personal financial exigency. I have told him that I will clear all pending rents by March 15, 2020 (end of agreement). However, he wants everything to be cleared by March 03, 2020, as he will go on a family trip afterward. I usually pay by Google pay. Can you help me?
defaulting payment as per agreement can also levy you interests as well as penalisation as well as you can be pulled into litigation it is your good luck that your owner is being kind to you and seeking justiciable demand now choice is yours how you want it
