Rights to show financials to newly purchased society owner

08-Jul-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Hi, I am a chairman of my residential society and we are responsible for doing accounting since 5 years . One of my society member who is CA in professional has purchased one flat in the year 2018 (May) and she has given to tenant on rent. His tenant not informed his two wheeler parking charges to his owner and due to which penalty accrued for 8 month's and now she is asking to waive off the charges.we denied for the same . To take revenge she is asking us to show all financial accounting details since inception. We said it will be shown in coming AGM . My question is whether she has rights to check financial accounting details since inception as she has purchased flat in 2018 and not in 2013 . ?? Pls guide on the same . thank you.

This is my response to you:
1. Every person who is the owner of the flat has a right to check accounts;
2. She may demand so;
3. If she is doing it purposely then you must send her a legal notice;
4. If you worry about nothing then engage services of CA and take precautions;
5. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
