Rental query for commercial shop in mangalore

Hi,
I have a commercial shop in mangalore which i am planning to give on rent. The tenant wants the the shop for restaurant but they are saying that they will make the shop licence in their name is it advisable to have a shop licence in tenants name.
licenses to run business will only be granted To persons running the business, in your case to the tenant. In fact rules requires tenant to show lawful of possession or ownership to obtain such licences, without showing lawful possesstion, he will not obtain licence . In your lease deed you may have some clauses to protect your interest vis a vis tenant obtaining licences from local authority to protect your interest.
