Recovering deposit from landlord

I moved into a flat with a girl after having spoken with her over text (Whatsapp) on 17 September. After a few weeks her behaviour became abusive & threatening verbally.I served her a 30 day notice on Oct 5, stating that I will be vacating the premises by Nov 5, however we had a verbal altercation and I offered to move out earlier if she has problems with me there.She said she will deduct notice period amount from the deposit and return the rest of the money to my a/c. I said since she has made living conditions unlivable for me and has threatened me and my property, the notice period deductions cannot be applied. All of this happened over Whatsapp messages. I filed a complaint at a local police station under IPC Sec. 506 yesterday, collected my belongings and moved into a hotel room. I had not signed a legal agreement with her before moving in. There are voice recordings of her threatening another flatmate over the phone as well. How do I ensure full recovery of my deposit?
