Living in rented flat from 15years, can owner be forced to sell flat

we are living in flat for rent for 16 years which is of price 4 lakhs,but our owner wants to sell to others for more price,but we want to buy the for lower price. is there any way to put a case on our owner so that owner cant sell to others or is there any other way to get the house or we can put case on owner to get the ownership rights to us
Being the absolute owner of the flat the the landlord has the authority to sell the flat to any one he desires, as you are staying their since 16 years you can negotiate with your landlord for the price, the landlord cannot force you out of the house without giving you a notice period. in case he does you can file a case under rent control act.
