Landlord asking for full payment after leaving the place what to do

We are unmarried couple and we both are engineering graduates.on 15 may 2017 we came to chennai in search of flat because of our work location . With the help of an auto man we find a room and the owner told us to pay 50k advance but we will live in chennai for nly 3 months for that we have to pay 20k that is the deal but the owner made a bond for 11 months saying that we can leave wen ever we want but now he is saying to pay the whole advance ?
: If the landlord is not returning the advance security deposit then you should firstly serve him with a legal notice requiring him to return the amount within stipulated time period. If he doesn’t return the amount even after serving him with legal notice, then you can file suit in appropriate Civil ourt for recovering the amount.
