Can rent be revised of land leased 124 years ago
12-May-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
My fore fathers had given a big peice of land on lease 124 yrs ago to a Mill. Can it's rent be revised to today's prevailing market rates?
Only if there is any provision mentioned in the lease agreement for rent revision. Or in case there is any breach of any term mentioned in the lease agreement which leads to it's termination. In this situation you would be able to make a fresh lease agreement with the same party or with any different party with new terms and norms as well as prevailing marker rates.
