what to do when company not accepting notice period of resignation

SIR,JETAIRWAYS HAS GIVEN A SLARY HIKE LETTER AND LATTER THEY ISSUED A ANOTHER LETTER WITH LESS HIKE AND LESS BACKPAY,SAYING PREVIOUS LETTER STANDS CANCELLED.THEN I RESIGNED GIVING THEM ONE MONTH NOTICE BUT THEY ARE ASKING THREE MONTH AND FINGERING IN MY NEW COMPANY.WHAT ACTION CAN I TAKE AGAINST JETAIRWAYS.

You will have to go through the clauses of your employment agreement. Your service in the private sector is based according to the employment agreement. If your employment contract mentions that you need to serve notice period of 3 months, then you are required to do so. If you don’t serve the notice period then the company can take legal action against you.
